Exceptionally placed inside one of the most beautiful monumental gardens of Italy, the Theatre in the Park is an example of reuse for cultural purposes born of a historic building with other features. Built in the 30s of last century to house exhibitions, in 1987 following an agreement with the City of Parma (who owns it), became the headquarters building where the theater of Crumbs produces its shows and offers the city of Parma a rich theater program. An open space to the question of cultural production and use of the city and territory.

The theater is a "heritage" of the Italian scene of a story that during more than thirty years has radically transformed the image, the vocabulary and the concept of theater for children.
Founded in 1976, five years later, the first in Italy to create a Center for Stable Production, Programming and Search Theatre Children and Young People, later became the Teatro Stabile of Innovation.
